Except for CoQ10, they all are very good to lower cholesterol. But recent studies have shown pretty excellent results in lowering cholesterol with patients using organic flaxseed oil (full spectrum = all terpenes compounds included). This oil is far more superior than omega3 itself. The reason is that in order for the cells to use omega3 properly, without forming excess of free radicals, it requires the presence of omega6 and omega9 in a healthy ratio. Flaxseed oil comes with the three of them coreectly balanced already.
I use a lot of flaxseed oil in combination with garlic, bromelain and OPCs to get the best results in lowering cholesterol fast. The only way this combination will fail is if the cholesterol problem is an endogenous one--but that's rare.
Good luck! :)

I don't have a natural remedy per se, however I recently got an oddly similar shock with my Blood Pressure & Cholesterol Readings. At 29 y.o 5'11 and only 75kg I was shocked. The Dr. suggested I try quitting smoking (for blood pressure) and try to relax, which i've done. For the Cholesterol he told me i simply need to eat more 'whole foods', Nuts, Seeds, Legumes.. High fibre foods. He also advised me to eat Avocado at breakfast, as it has only Mono-unsaturated fats, which are known to actively reduce cholesterol. He also told me to up my exercise regime which i have, It is good to see you have done the same. At the end of the day you may need to take medication short term to help allieviate any major threats, just to be safe. I didn't do that myself, as I was not advised to. Just make sure you follow you instincts and keep getting checked up, and listen to your doctor, life is important. If you feel like you are getting better and your index reduces, then keep at it. Otherwise Meds it is... But Stay Healthy!! ~Jack

Yes, supplements such as Omega-3, inositol hexaniacinate, pantethine, and guggulipid can be effective in lowering cholesterol. Supplements for lowering cholesterol should be used as a part of an overall plan that includes diet and lifestyle changes.
You can Clean Out Your System. Plan an occasional system cleanout day where you consume only fruit and vegetables. The high water content of fruit and vegetables facilitates the spread of their valuable nutrients through your body and helps flush out the wastes that have built up from eating the wrong foods.

Try a bowl of oats, oatmeal or oats based muesli every morning. Supposed to reduce your cholesterol level.
Try a Yahoo search for"high cholesterol" + causes + treatment (OR cures OR remedies) and see what you get.

I have not heard of these used in that way. Extra niacin makes me itch and have a facial rash. I lowered mine from 218 to 160 in 6 mths, eating oatmeal, and oatmeal products, reducing fried foods, increased my exercise a bit. Good Luck.

Stay away from the red rice yeast, the side effects equal those of the statins drugs. Too dangereous to mess around with.
