He is probably still alive. I think it is possible that the US has already caught him and is keeping him at one of those secret CIA prisons. The might be afraid to release the information that we have caught him because Bin Laden would have set up some kind of terror plot to occur if he is captured. President Bush has said that he is no longer worried about Bin Laden.

Most likely dead or too sick to lead Al Quada. There has been no verified reports since Tora Bora. They droped a daisy cutter on the cave he was living in.
