This is one of the crimes, along with rape and murder, where, if the perpetrator is proven guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, he should be in prison for life - no chance of ever getting out. In my old neighbourhood, there was another way to deal with such scum, but then, nowadays, we must work within the law...

They should be locked up and never allowed to go near children. They are adults. How is it fair on children that paedophiles are on the loose and could prey on them at any given opportunity? We should be protecting children from this threat not making up complicated solutions like microchipping. Prevention rather than cure. If a child goes missing and a microchipped paedophole is in the area, it would be an outrageous act of negligence on the part of the authorities if a known paedophole was able to prey on another child and all that was done to protect the child was to be able to see if the paedophile was in the area at the time they were murdered / raped / molested or whatever, and not have prevented the situation from arising, i.e. by locking them up away from children entirely.

When we use the emotive word 'Paedophile', we automatically think that it relates to an adult having sex with a child. That's the problem with this word, it creates much more heat than light. For example, in Britain, an eighteen year old having sex with a fifteen year old, with consent, is classed as paedophilia. Downloading certain types of pornography from the Internet, without any direct involvement at all in sexual activity, is classed as paedophilia. So, when we are calling for people to be shot, castrated etc, lets be clear about the sort of offences that would be caught under the ridiculous and emotive term, Paedophile.

In the modern world, thanks mainly to feminists, the word 'rape' has started to become confusing and almost meaningless, because, in my view, it embraces less serious sexual acts. It often isn't, in its most grotesque form, the stranger jumping out from behind a bush with a knife. It might be a drunken male student who is unlucky enough to have sex with a girl who changes her mind the following day.

Mothers of boys should pay heed to the above, but for the grace of, go I.

Years ago they locked people up for being gay.

So surely there are a lot more scared paedophiles out there who could create problems in society.
And are obviously too scared to show themselves.
Its not like its acceptable for them to climb out of the closet.

So if you could offer them a way out before crimes are commited it would solve the problem.
Maybe there is a medical way out or maybe creating a separated community would be an answer.

But locking them up or tagging them and letting them mix in normal society is not going to solve any problems.

And it will not help them step forward and admit there difference before it is too late.


I'm in no way trying to compare Gay and lesbians to paedophiles other than a diffence in mental state.

That might be a good idea but it will only work for known pedophiles. We'd still have to worry about the ones who have yet to be caught and convicted. I remember recently hearing about a similar device that's put on children. I believe it's fitted into their clothing or shoes so if they go missing authorities can track them very fast and hopefully find them before they're harmed. I think that would be excellent idea. We have them for dogs, why the hell don't we have them for kids?

No tagging or labeling will replace watching Your children. The pervert in Your own family or a close friend may abuse Your children if YOU leave them venerable. Those who think registration and tracking will prevent abuses are naive. If Your children are old enough to be out of sight they should know that no one touches them in private areas and no one takes them from Home. Never put adults in absolute control of Your children because all too often that is an invitation to a abuse. The protection of Your children is and always will be YOUR primary responsibility.

The vast majority of paedophiles abuse children who are close to them. Micro-chipping them will have absolutely no effect, becasue a random snatch of a child is such a rare event.

no and this is why slowly but surely the bill of rights is being re writen to fit the govrnments needs (not the poeple) and the people is the reson for the bill of rights so by letting them inplant a chip into a petafile's head would only be a start into a spiral of infrenging into citizens lives sure it would be good to be able to locate a pedafile if a kid went missing around his area but this is how the govrnment wants to appel this concept to you by making it look like a safety precaution and make it out to be this great thing but in actuallity it is slowly slithering its way into the system so wouldnt it be convienent to have chips in all or heads? like if incase some one just went missing ? sure it would be nice and convenient but also it is setting up a future for corrupt govrnment and would result in a totalitarian based govrnment in wich the govrnment controlls every aspect of a cictizens life now mabe this wouldnt be as bad if the govrnment wasnt so corrupt but in this case it is and will always be reguardless who runs it simply because of human nature, now mabe you trust the govrnment enough to do this wich i highly doubt, but in a hypithetical situation lets say you do, now even if you did that makes you what 1 to 1,000 after they initialize all this the oppresed people will eventually form a malitia out of despiration and look at it in terms of (id rather die than live like this) now incase you dint know a malitia is when the people form a semi army with whatever they can possibly arm them selves with witch by this time will probably be sticks and stones, now remeber that at this point the people arnt going to care any more and would rather die than live like this, and will eventually result in the distruction and hell fire of the united states =)) if a million other possiblitys dont beat my theory to it =)) but i doubt you read this and or care at all about any of this at all and will probably go vote for american idle instead of the next president :-j and thus furthering my theory of the distruction of our civilazation =)) :-j

Yes short of bringing back capital punishment and so should any criminal who is a threat to decent people, including thieves, rapists, muggers and murderers. Problem is there are too many human rights do-gooders out there who are prepared to fight their corner for them (thanks to legal aid). Where are the legal rights for the kids who suffer at the hands of these monsters. As for allowing kids out to play it just not going to happen in my house, they are home even during the light summer nights - unlike when I was young, we were out up until 10 o'clock!!!
