Carson McCullers? I could be wrong. I often get the two confused. They seem to deal with similar topics.

I don't agree. I don't find that the heart hunts at all. Obviously this is different for each person. But I feel that the heart is merely affected by what it encounters. Again....... just my opinion...... but I don't think we go out searching for love. I think we go searching for life.

What brings each person life varies from person to person. I know a man that lives to wake up every morning....... to ride his bike miles and miles. He needs that feeling of freedom....... of challenge......... of physical accomplishment. Make him choose between a woman and his bike...... sorry, the bike would win every time.

I know a woman that is a social worker. Her dedication to her clients is beyond what any worker...... no any HUMAN would be expected to do. She'll put them before herself every time. Why? It's what feeds her heart and soul.

We constantly look for something to feed our soul. To make us feel complete....... to help us live. Whether it be to ride a bike cross country, to help those in need, or to love someone with your body and soul....... if it brings us fulfillment .....it feeds our heart.

I disagree with the author. We can always find it. What happens is........ we aren't always willing to take the risk to do so.

Not lonely at all, that muscle has the constant company of Mr grey matter that tries very hard to control what the muscle hunts and gathers, but at times sends all the wrong signals, and when their drinking buddy testosterone steps in.... all hell breaks loose.

I found true love two years ago.... I do not believe I had ever really known what it meant and felt like until I came face to face with a stray cat. Odd? possibly...I just know I love this feline more than anything I have ever before.
Now, if I could only find a man that makes me feel the same !!

What we may not really find is the idealistic love that is broadcast all over the media. Everyone finds love in some way or another. As young children though, we are raised with the notion of this fantasy happily ever after type of thing that just doesn't happen to everyone. Some of us get a comfy shoe type of love while others get a fireworks display type. It isn't better or worse - just different.

Personally, I would just prefer the love that allows for a lot of front porch sitting and nooky.

The heart is a lonely hunter evokes feelings of emptiness, desire, and lack of fullfillment. All of those things cannot be answered by finding what you thought you were looking to find.No apologies to Joyce Carol Oates if she is the one who asked the question.

Don't try to force your self into loving someone. Take your time and it will find you eventually. Keep holding on and don't ever even think about giving up on finding love!

One word: "FAITH"
NEVER LOSE IT!!!!
you aren't alone i almost gave up and would have missed one of the best relation ships i ever had. Even if it didn't last i learned to be myself and give it your whole heart and if it doesn't work out you can't blame your self and you know it just wasn't meant to be between the two of you! <3 hope that helped even just a little bit!

Some of us find it.
The Carson McCullers novel took its title from the poem of the same name.

My sister found the love of her life when she wasn't looking, she was recovering from a breakup. Me, my heart has become the lonely hunter, so I quit looking. I am focusing on raising my 2 sons.

The heart is a lonely hunter... but only because the head gets in the way of what the heart truly seeks....

no I searched for along time and I found it for sure. I just takes time and patience to find it. Always remember that one you do find it sometimes it takes a little work no matter how in love you are. You'll find it. Don't worry.

i think of if somebody replaced into married i does no longer prefer to return between him and his better half. If he breaks up with them for me then i might pass forward with them, yet i could no longer be with somebody who replaced into married. If I have been married there is not any danger i could be watching everybody in that way. i might by no potential cheat. If i did no longer experience the affection i might harm up and then seek for out the guy I did experience love for. i ought to by no potential be with somebody i did no longer love whilst having an affair.
