It's quite possible that it's fin rot, but if you have recently added new fish to the tank, recently changed or cleaned the filter well or not done the water changes you should as often as you should it could also be healing ammonia damage.
If it's fin rot I would suggest a real antibiotic such as Maracyn 2 or Maracyn TC instead of Melafix. Melafix can be a decent preventative, but it's not good for clearing up and active infection. It's simply not strong enough for that.

You could try the melafix route, but as they say it's expensive... a cheaper way to go (at least for now) is to do a 50% water change, and mix 1 tablespoon of salt per gallon. Fin rot is common when water hasn't been changed enough. Could this be the situation?
Salt is used quite frequently to fix problems... a general guide is:
Preventative - 1 tsp per gallon
Treatment - 1 T per gallon
You'd be surprised at how much can be fixed with salt and fresh water! Goodluck!

That happened to mine too. Probably because it is also collecting algae like the rest of the tank. My suggestion is that you syphen out 30% of the water and replace it with new water. When you syphen out the water, make sure you clean the rocks with th syphen. Also, it might have rotted a little from slow water change. Remember to syphen water out every 2 weeks.
-hope this helped!!!
Oh and, I love your answers to my questions. You are a fun funny girl!!!!!

Their tails could be rotting from some kind of infection. I suggest an antibacterial such as MelaFix. It's kind of expensive, but it does the trick when my fish get hurt.

It's normal for fish to change color. One of my fish was orange and faded to white. It's not anything serious or life threatning. It's their way of getting mature.
