What kind of damage can happen to a new 2007 kawasaki streetbike if it is laid down going, not even, 10 miles an hour. can there be any major engine damage because of that or will it just all be minor?

I wouldn't think so, nothing to the engine. Especially if you have a highway bar. That'll pretty much protect it. That speed it's pretty much like dropping it. It should be fine. Just enough damage to really piss you off. I've been there.

Damages differ between accidents. There are a lot of factors that must be considered. If the bike falls on pretty much flat ground and its a lowside, theres probably not much damage. Stand the bike up, make sure there arent any cracks in your engine cases and no oil leaks anywhere.

Bikes can take a good amount of punishment though. Most likely, its cosmetic and you are good to go! Take it easy and keep the rubber side down man!

At 10mph, my Honda had only minor damage, but still...

Broke the clutch lever
Broke the left hand mirror right off the stalk
Broke the kickstand! (I was surprised)
Broke both turn signals on that side
Scraped the front fender
The forks were moved in the triple tree, couldn't steer straight 'til I loosened them up and and lined it up again.

Your kawasaki bike is much heavier, so expect your fairing to get scraped and cracked in addition to losing your turn signals. I wouldn't anticipate major engine damage. If you're thinking about these things, see if you can fit aftermarket crash bars, frame sliders, swingarm sliders, bar ends, and flush-mount turn signals onto your motorcycle. Depending on the position of your radiator, there may be a special protector for that too.

Oh, did I forget to mention that my pants got torn, and I had some nice bruises on my left side, ... and a friendly policeman came and told me to move along?

Mostly minor lol, but its not cheep, its not the engine damage you have to worry about as much as the body plastic. It can cost more than a thousand dollars to get the body work fixed. I suggest frame sliders, they are little peaces of plastic type stuff that attach (not sure how) and they take most of impact and help minimize damage. All that is considering its a sport bike. If its a crusier your not so lucky!!!

You can have minor damage. My husband laid his bike down going like 5 miles an hour and cracked his oil tank. Just go have it checked out by a bike mechanic just to make sure.

The only way to find out is to have the dealer check it. Ive been riding a sport bike sence 1981 and even it it falls over in the drive way have it checked. SAFTY FIRST. Remember a small nothing now can cause a major problem down the road.Best of luck on your new bike.

Sometimes one of the side cases gets damaged or cracked. Check for new oil spots. Check your battery to see if any acid has leaked out and neutralize the area with baking soda solution if you suspect leakage.
Other than leaks and scratches, there shouldn't be any mechanical damage.
