I'm making a card for my friend whos turning 17. Any creative ideas for it? And no I'm not going out to buy things so I just have your basic craft supplies

I am also very creative and the best gift i gave someone she luved so much she actually put it on her wall. What i did was buy a large picture frame and i put pictures and stickers of everything she likes and that we relate to. For example i put the words 'Julia and Tamara' on it, and we always joke about purple haired grannies and what color we want as we grow and i found a card with a cat with a purple wig on with its tongue poking out, so i bought that on and put it on. She is also into astrology and positive affirmations so I put things to do with them on. I kept it bright, I made it so that everytime she would look at it she would smile because it was everything that made her happy. She cried when she opened it because was the best thing anyone had made for her. You could include photos, mirrors, anything you can pick up from a craft shop. All up I think it cost me $40 including the frame as i mainly had the stuff around the house already. I just didn't expect her to like it so much and put it on the wall where everyone can see it! If you have wrapping paper, any scrap booking supplies photos of you two together all these items can be used to make nice cards. Ribbon, lace, fabric cut out designs

You could make a card with a pic of the both of you in it & have it look like a scrap book type of card. I did this last year & it was a big hit.

Well, what I did one year for my friend's birthday, I made a collage of cut outs from magazines and had all my friends write messages on the collage and sign it, then I framed it and gave it to her. It was an artwork/birthday thing that she hangs up.

A fun thing that I like to do is to find an old record, it doesn't really matter who its by unless you want it to matter, and just paint designs on it and write a message. And your friend could always hang it on the wall afterwards.
