Does anyone know how old you have to be to work at Dairy Queen in the state of New Jersey?

Yes, it depends and I'm afraid I don't know about New Jersey. I started working at a DQ in Iowa at age 14 with a work permit, and I stayed there all through high school. It was a great job. I loved it.
Do call and ask though, because they're usually hiring like crazy this time of year.

in oklahoma dairy queen I had to be 1 6 first.. But you should call and ask the state.

Yes you can with that workers permit but with this recession you would be lucky to get a part-time job. File an application everywhrre you can for a first job to make a nice resume. Then later on you will have a better chance to get to that job you want. Asking? Just ask that your wondering if they are hiring and most likley they will hand you an application. Also keep a smile on your face and look professional!

i don't know anything about the Labor Laws in Jersey,but in North Carolina you can start at age 15 at any job as long as you have a working permit from your Local Health Department.
