As H. Ross Perot said in 1992 when he was running for President: it's not the government that's bad - it's the system that's broken.
Our monopolistic two-party political system has become so corrupted that it drags government to a stagnating halt instead of moving government forward to a higher level of public service and protection.
We get the government we deserve; and, frankly, since we pay such little attention to our government, we have allowed it to turn into the cesspool it's become. That isn't the politicians' fault: it's our fault! -RKO- 06/06/07
