Both. Of course this depends on what you mean by "carefree." Relationships require compromise, getting over the "bumps" together, understanding & much more. Would you consider this "carefree?" It could. The "care" we give to our relationships doesn't have to be 60% or more, we can live, together, "carefree" lives. "Committed people" don't consider caring as not "free."

To be in a committed relationship means caring for the other. You can't be carefree and committed at the same time.

Yes, but only if they really work hard at it and refuse to take themselves at all seriously. So then you end up with two carefree but committed people in a carefree but committed relationship. Their parents of course, are going to freak out completely!

Dear me - of course both. It's the only way to go, I reckon. And the best relationships are carefree, and the most carefree are committed ... for as long as they last.

yes two committed people can be in a carefree relationship, because they have nothing to worry about when it comes to the other partner, for example they dont have to worry about their partner cheating on them or doing other things because their partner is committed to them and only them .

two carefree people can be a committed relationship if they are happy with each other and wish to be together.. being carefree isnt a bad thing .. its just hinting that the people in the relationship dont worry about things such as cheating and infidelity

both cases are probable and possible .. as long as people are in love and willing to try then the relationship will run its course as it is supposed to

I guess it depends on what you mean by care free and open relationships I have heard stories like this where they called OPEN relationships and the people that were even married were with other people to me that is wrong if your in a relationship with another then your with that person only if you want to be care free hahaha like me hahaha stay out of relationships who knows it all depends on the TWO people in the RELATIONSHIP and what they will tolerate from one another....It is never good to lead another on when you have no intentions of being with them because you want to be carefree either one of you in the relationship then you should not be in together thats just my take I think down the road major problems will arise!!!

Yes to both.
The 2 committed people would be confident in the
commitment of each other. Therefore, they wouldn't have
to worry about the other's trivial problems.
The 2 carefree people would be committed to a casual
relationship. Neither one bound to the other and neither
one restricted from approaching the other.

Yes I suppose so. It is probably possible to be both committed & carefree. It would be rare though.

Carefree and committed are not antonyms or polarities.

Carefree does not require a lack of commitment or dedication, rather to be free of worry.

Committed does not required being careless, rather to have made a pledge or promise to another.
