We need to level the playing field. So Affirmative Action is needed.
But Affirmative Action doesn't level the feild but it lowers standards for certian people while keeping them high for white people.

How is this good?

I don't think it is good because when I get a job I want to know that I got it because I'm qualified for the job and not just qualified to fill some stupid quota. It's one of those "solutions" where one problem is solved but a problem with the same amount of importance is introduced. It's like a vicious cycle where no one really wins. Also, it's kind of insulting that people assume that I'm black and therefore not smart enough to get into college or get a job on my own.

I've often heard people say that but I have never experienced it. I have always been held to the same or even a higher standard as my white counterparts. In situations where all things are equal, my white counterpart ALWAYS got the job/promotion.
Just as some African Americans blame their failures on racism, some whites blame theirs on Affirmative Action. Stop whining all of you.
The most important person does not look at what is on the outside but what is on the inside. In fact the Bible says that "..God is not partial, but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him." (Acts 10:34,35)

it is pretty racist to think that all minorities get lower scores so schools should let them in easier. My friend is black, her dad co-owns an airline or something like that, anyway she's really rich, and where she's going to college she gets money off and gets in easier! it's kind of demeaning, and I am just as smart as any white person...but still I'm not really complaining...

you are right, two people with same degree and experience should get pay eqaully. The bible also warns about prejudice, which people rarely talk about. It is also wrong.

its not. people need to be assessed for their education and skills not the color of their skin such laws, in my belief only create more racism because we are still goin by color. people need to just get over it and see people not color.
