In case you havn't noticed the U.S. is not making money. We are going deeper into debt every year and spending money fighting other peoples wars, supporting other peoples causes and disasters. You would think that our government would have taken a lesson from the Soviet Union going broke fighting in Afganistan. It can and is happening to us aswell.
As far as jobs leaving the country. This is because the jobs just can't pay enough in the U.S. to support an american family or even a single person. Basic education is free in this country. If you ar not smart enough to use this resource then you shouldn't be suprised when you end up with a crappy job.

despite the fact that lots of manufacturing/customer service and other jobs are being outsourced overseas the US continues to have very low unemployment. The US economy is becoming more and more a technical and service economy.

For those without degrees this will probably be bad because as our economy continues in this direction workers will be required to have advanced and technical skills to be successful
