I have not read any of the Harry Potter books, but I've seen all of the movies. I'm just wondering why she's stopping with the 7th book. I'm sure Harry Potter fans of all ages would love to read and see the boy wizard grow into an adult. I realize that she must have other books she wants to write and Daniel Radcliffe and the film cast wouldn't go on playing those parts. While I'm at it, what does a graduate of Hogwarts get?

J.K. Rowling has repeatedly said she envisioned seven books (and actually wrote the last chapter of the last book when she first started writing the entire series all those years ago).
How do you know that she doesn't kill off Harry in the final book; perhaps he has to die to defeat Vol-de-Mort!

They only go to school at Hogwarts for 7 years. The book series ends when Harry gets out of school.

When she started the series, she planned on 7 books - one book for each year of school. Perhaps she wants to write other stories, and after all these years she may be getting a little tired of Harry Potter. She certainly doesn't need to continue writing for the money.

She as quickly as suggested in an interview that she had advised Harry's tale, and that i completely agree, I recommend yeah she could shop writing approximately him, yet whats the factor? via fact on the top of the 7th e book we decide to think of that Harry has have been given his happy ending after years of mishaps. it fairly is the in all probability the the superb option intending to it. we've examine Harry's tale and enjoyed the travels with him. Now its time to declare see you later. no longer that I ever will considering the fact it fairly is an significant portion of my youthful human beings. yet its time to declare see you later to the character harry and enable him savor his existence. Who is familiar with she would continuously write some character like, Lily and James (Harrys mom and dad tale) or Snapes tale. i think of that snapes tale could be great. Or she could write a thoroughly diverse fable tale?..

She had pledged to stop after Book 7 years ago. I am sure she is attached to the characters and wouldn't mind writing more of them, but I also think she wants to explore other ideas that are lurking around in her wonderful brain. :)
