If you rode the Wild Mouse then I think you can handle the other coasters at Dorney. Some people think Wild Mouse coasters are very scary due to their unbanked turns that make you feel like you are going to fly off the track.
If Steel Force looks to scary for you, just work your way up. Ride Thunderhawk and Laser. Yes, they are faster than Wild Mouse, but not necessarily scarier.
If you ever ride the big boys, Steel Force, Hydra or Talon, sit in the middle of the train. Not towards the front nor the back. I would also suggest riding in the middle of the row on Hydra and Talon. The lateral forces will not be as strong.
Just face your fears! Watch some coaster videos online. Keep familiar with the ride. After awhile, they won't be so intimidating to you. I used to be terrified (yet fascinated) with roller coaster. My first ride on a big coaster was something I'll never forget. Horrifying!!! But I later became addicted to them and am now a coaster enthusiast. I've ridden over 350 roller coasters.

Try riding it once or twice with your eyes closed. But if you got a weak stomach and want to build up courage, the Roller Coaster Enthusiasts of America recommends that you ride the middle of the train. This way you won't see the drop or get the whiplash that is experienced in the back. I did this and it worked for me everythime I ride a new rollercoaster ride. Have fun!

My oldest nephew used to be afraid to ride bigger roller coasters so I just started him out riding the smaller roller coasters and build his way up at his own pace. We were at Kings Island and we would ride Adventure Express a few times as well as the Racer and Top Gun and he rode Top Gun several times. We rode some Friday and on Saturday we rode some smaller coasters several more times. I finally told him I believe he can move on up and handle the Beast. He rode it and loved riding it and wished he would have rode it earlier. He wanted to ride it again just before the park closed so we rode during the night which is an awesome experience mainly since they have the lights turned off in the tunnels to give that extra little thrill to the ride. Just work your way up and start off with the smaller roller coasters and ride them several times if you need to feel more comfortable to ride something taller and faster. Have fun! :-)

well for starters you should know if you like roller coasters then why are you afraid of them?
1. if you do not like heights then don't look down.
2. if you do not like the speed then close your eyes. It will feel like you are flying.
3. if on one that has lots of turns make sure the your had is safe of the sides.

When I first went on the biggest rollerr coaster at circus circus, I counted numbers, or I sang a song or talked to the person next to me, and it went by in a flash and I wasn't scared at all.

actually the Wild Mouse is rougher than advertised, def not a kid ride. The Steel Force is really smooth, and the Talon is just awesome.

When I was a couple years younger I was afraid of almost any rollercoaster but after my sister simply dragged me onto one I was fine. There are a few I still haven't gone on when I had the chance, but there's always "next time" for that. :) But really any of the above suggestions are great!

Breath in & out.....relax......laugh or scream when your on the ride ( it helps).... watch other people ride the couple times.....go on line and see if they have a virtual tour on the ride. If all else fails suck it up and go on it and think positive.
