For the 10th time today, quit calling it amnesty.
Amnesty is a pardon. A $5000 fine is not a pardon.
I'm sick of the parrots using this buzz word when it's completely wrong.
Pick another word that accurately represents what's happening to illegal immigrants.
And, genius, coming into the US illegally is a misdemeanor. You could fill an ocean with the misinformation on this forum.

Congressmen and their partymates wanted to get the votes of the felons and their relatives in the next election. It is part of politics.

Which felons would those be? I'm asking optimistically, in the hopes that you aren't dumb enough to believe illegal immigration is a felony. It isn't, it's a paperwork problem- like forgetting to sign your tax return. Who's next on your list, people that feed parking meters?
