Has to be "Silent Running". This 70's movie open the door for "Star Wars", "ET", "The Matrix" and many other SciFi movie. Great special effects. A highly underrrated movie.

2001 - he special effects for the time it was made were fantastic and the music so beautiful. The music seemed to flow along with the space vehicles. I loved Hal, isn't that terrible. I don't know how many times I've seen it. I hate to admit that the ending sort of lost me. It was weird.
