How do you feel about such things including Diem's assassination, the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, the policy of gradual escalation, and the bombing campaign?

We took over as advisers when France withdrew from Viet Nam and then realized the people had no defense against the communist north because they had never ruled themselves. We decided to educate by sending in arms, supplies, and more military advisers but there was little to no time, and we took up the gauntlet slapped down by China. We sent thousands of young boys to their deaths, fighting an enemy who knew the land better than we. Unable to tell friend from foe, unable to bear the heavy humidity and monsoons, unable to get supplies and help moved in when needed, and unsupported by our country, we did the best we could. When LBJ increased the war from the air, he only infuriated the Cong and China and frightened Laos and Cambodia. The American people began protesting, loudly, and refusing to serve in the military which stressed the numbers over there to a breaking point. Nixon did the whole nation a favor when he declared it was a war we couldn't win and pulled us out. The Cong took over and chances are the average Viet Namese farmer went right back to his farming and never thought any more about it.
We had hoped if ever there was another war, it would be with an enemy we could recognize (hair color, skin color, accent) and our allies would want to fight alongside us with everything in their power. I don't think that happened.

Thoughts with regard to Peace-Convergence 2007

Why we have to cry out for Peace again, after Vietnam, Korea and the two World Wars which supposedly were the wars to finish all the Wars and make peace forever? Because if you find out who leads this illegal - & unjust war in IRAQ you will find that the ancestors of those leaders were also behind WW1 & WW2 and that’s why you cry out for peace again.

Retired US-Army Captain and critique of the US-war in Iraq, Mr. Eric May, concluded: “The main-stream-media, now owned by corporations that are part of the industrial complex, are selling the American people a bill of goods for the sole purpose of corporate profits from the war.” Read his complete conclusion and serve to humanity on: http://www.adelaideinstitute.org/Dissenters1/Toben/toben_may0.htm

When John, Rudyard Kipling’s only son died in 1915 at the Battle of Loos, Kipling wrote: “If any question why we died/ Tell them, because our fathers lied”

Hopefully there will be a revolt of US-Army-Officers against the Government in the USA, like the Federal Reserve – caper of former US-Navy-Captain James von Brunn. See it on: http://www.holywesternempire.org/fed-caper.html

One of these War-Leaders who won WW2 was the richest private Bank of the World in the thirties, namely Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., (Stakeholders in the Federal Reserve-Bank of US-America). The losers of that war were not only the Labourers of Germany, but the Labourers everywhere. Prescott Bush (Grandfather of today’s US-President) was managing-partner of this company which not only was involved in financing the Allied War, but also the Nazi-Party and later Stalin and the US-Vietnam-War.
