Okay I have a 1990 Cadillac Seville with 135,645 miles on it. It still runs great to my knowledge. But I have had to replace a few parts, I had to replace the altenator, the temperature gauge, and a switch on the wheel so I could turn my highbeams on. I plan on keeping this car for a while I already put a nice system in it, tinted the windows added an E&G grille and a chrome woman on the hood. What fluids should I have changed? I get my oil changed every 2,000 miles but I have never changed my trans fluid, my power steering ( I always add to it) or anything else. And another thing the car seems to ride rough at times like every little bump can be felt and it sounds like something raddels. is that the shocks? I have no idea what needs to be taken care of in that part but ever since i got the car it has always raddeled when I hit a bump like something is shaking. But its still a nice car! and i love it!

This is a great car. I have one as well although it a later model. If you will use one of the oil change places. Jiffy lube or one of the others they will keep all your fluids fresh and they actually will top off your fluids and no charge between oil changes.
does your car have a suspension setting. You could be bumping the switch without knowing it and that could be why it only seems to ride rough occasionally. However; With the mileage you have on the car a new set of shocks is definitely in order. Ask your dealer what shocks are recommended and then shop around and get the good price. The rattling is probably suspension oriented but could be engine mounts, loose exhaust or just about anything. While your car is on the rack for a lube job tell them that you have a noise and describe what is sounds like and when it happens. (over bumps etc.) They will do a quick once over for no charge and if its anything obvious they will let you know. The same goes for the guy that will replace your shocks. Its a good way to get a handle on your problem without spending the money that a dealer would charge you. I generally don't change oil until 3000 miles but that's just a matter of taste. each to his own. What color is the car. It sounds great.l

People rarely replace the springs in a car and I would say with that many miles it is something that needs to be done.Replace the shocks too, they are cheap enough.Take it to a good mechanic and have him look at the front end to make sure all the components are good such as sway bar links, stabalizers and steering knuckles.

I am willing to bet that the rattling noise is a sway bar link that is very cheap to replace.changing the transmission fluid is risky at such high miles but ask your mechanic.

marvelous vehicle, yet 20 inch rims could have extra healthful nice. of path your holiday is purely no longer as tender. you does no longer have had to do any alterations on your suspension and there could be very minimum rubbing. 20's look very marvelous on cadillacs.

probably sway bar links rattling. have coolant flushed and add factory recommended sealer. complete tranny flush &filter change. just changing filter only gets 1/3rd of old fluid out.
