So true. They just raise taxes and talk about a "univseral healthcare" that can no way possibly work to get more votes. Socialism does not work, look at the USSR. For some reason the democrats want to turn this country into a socialist government. Remember, democrats through out the years, IN THE CLINTON YEARS, threw billions of dollars at education and you know what happened? Public education became more terrible. Democrats think anything can be solved by throwing money at it, which is totally false.

Twelve Million mostly young workers have already been lined up to pay the payroll taxes to help cover the Boomer's Socialist Security. More will be added as needed.
(BTW, Social Security is it's own sepparate tax, and it's a regressive payroll tax, it's not primarily paid by the wealthy, but by the middle class, and even the working poor - and, no, it's not part of your tax refund).

Baby boomers will still be paying taxes from their 401K's. And, there are plenty of people in the country to take their place in terms of tax paying citizens and immigrants. Did you know the military industrial corporate complex gets 40% of every tax dollar? If we cut that by 10%, it would more than be enough to pay for universal health care. Not only that but if we would stop the loopholes that corporations have to avoid paying taxes by having offshore accounts and getting tax cuts and rebates for outsourcing their work overseas, it would be more than enough to pay for it. And, if we would tax what they import it would be more revenue. These corporations are so profitable now that they should be paying more taxes. Even Warren Buffet and Bill Gates said this. Another thing that would help is to stop subsidizing the oil, pharmacuetical, corporate farms and coal industries. Trust, me no taxes on the middle class would have to be raised if this was implemented.
This war in Iraq is going to cost us a hell of alot more than universal health care. It's going to be in the trillions. And, we're paying for Iraqs universal health care.

Heck with all the taxes ,50% of my paycheck is gone anyway!
Well, not really but it seems so and what about those pesky sales, property, etc etc. taxes? Health care will not be free, only non-profit. America is ranked 37th in health care among modern nations. We can certainly do better than that can't we. Lets get greed out of the equation!

Your first assumption is that the newborn-boomers could have sufficient money to retire. no longer inevitably so. They unfastened many tax advantages via retiring. 2nd. one thank you to resolve portion of the difficulty is to take the lid off of contributing to SS. while you're making over $87K you give up paying in at $87K. If we give up borrowing $200B a 12 months from SS it is going to final longer. i urge all and sundry to vote for Democrats.

Not just the middle class, but the poor will also pay too. When they see what they get for the money they actually spend, they will rue the day Democrats ever formed the party.

I answered this question...
it's VERY COMMON SENSE...
by your theory, rich people aren't created, the wealth just disappears when they die...
I can't believe you posted it again... after it was so naive the first time
other people become rich...
