The most stressful situations for most people include, and not necessarily in this order, loss of a spouse, divorce, moving, job/career change, death of a spouse, death of a parent, death of a child, person or family memeber falling victim to a major crime.

Most have been listed in your first response. The only one I think was missed there are financial stress. This is the highest stress factor in breaking up marriages.

a death in the family, a bad accident (produces stress for the victim and their family), a divorce, AIDS, unemployment (or prolonged unemployment), disability, old age, health issues (like loss of vision), being single and being pregnant, etc.
