i have a linksys 2.4 ghz 802.11b access point and i cant figure out how to set it up so i can go online with my psp and ps3 and my cpu

An access point is analogous to a switch port on a wired network. They do nothing but connect you to the LAN.

You sure what you have is not a wireless router?

Your linksys IS a router. You have to follow the instructions on the CD-ROM that came in the box. YOU MUST HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET FIRST. The Linksys in NOT for free internet

You should be able to use it for just what you want. You internet modem --->access point then you can wirelessly connect to the access point which is connected to the internet.

It routes wirless traffic into it to the internet and from internet back.
