she's your mom. You should be able to tell her anything. Best way would be to just try on a bunch of stuff. be sure you get fitted as well. My mom let me pick out whatever it was I wanted when I was looking for bras. She honestly could car less so long as I wore one.

And you only need a sports bra if you are playing sports. they serve no real purpose otherwise. And you need to buy something that works for you. If it is underwire, great. Padding, if you need it. go to someplace like nordstroms. they have the best bra fitting people in the world. Oprah is always having them on when she does her bra fit shows. and they often times can override something your mom may want you to wear in favor of something that fits you the best.

While your shopping with her, keep looking at the ones you prefer and tell her you don't care for the other styles. She will probably object to you getting any heavily padded bras, but you should be able to get some that are slightly padded, with or without underwire. The main thing is that you work it out with her.

well first of all, i know you dotn want to hear this but your going to have to give your mom some credit. She is a woman with breats too and she has been bra shopping many many times.
I know the cutsey ones are cool but think about it... if your not really developed like a size a you dont need underwire its un comfortable anyways... and padding... thinkn about it this way ... if a guy brushes up against you or just so happens to touch.. they will feel padding.. and then your going to be the girl who stuffs her bra

Tell her you dont need a sport bra at this time but you will let her know when you do. Show her the ones you like & dont like & Im sure she will take all that into consideration. And since you're 13, you can soon shop for yourself & get one you want. Hopefully nothing too padded. Gotta give yourself room to grow. Good luck.

The best place to go is Victoria Secret. I've gone to Victoria Secret with my mom before and it's not that bad. They are tons of employees walking around and they will help you. If your mom tries getting you something weird, you always have the workers there to tell her what everyone is wearing and what's popular. Also at Victoria Secret you can find exactly what you like and can always find your size. A bra I reccommend is the BODY BY VICTORIA- IPEX. I really love it because its comfy with padding, but NO underwire.
GOOD LUCK!

Before you go, tell her how you feel. I'm sure she won't too picky about it because your bra wont be showing anyway! If you cant tell her to her face write her a note. Another thing to do is when you get to the shop, find one bra that is what you would want and show it to her. That way she will know what to look for for you. Enjoy your shopping trip!

tell her what you want, and find a sales associate who can help YOU pick out bras that YOU describe you would like & think you need, and that way the sales associate and make suggestions or tell you that maybe something different would be best suited for you ... either way, be honest w/ your mom, but let her see that the professional could be helpful in finding what you need also, and maybe then she'll see that you really do need something more than a training bra. i think she only does that cause she can't accept that you're growing up. her baby's not a baby any more. she'll get over it.

I went bra shopping with santa claus when I was 13. He bought me all the underwire bras I like. He bought a light blue one, a white one, a black one, and a peach one. Just tell your mother what you like. She may listen.

well i am 14 now and my mom took me shopping when i was 12 and i was made to wear non wired bras until now because wen u are young the underwiring can damage breast tissue and stop your breasts frm growing !!
i hated it but i was made wear them and i begged her to let me but she said no and now i am a C cup. but in some shops they have nice bras with padding no underwire but really nice and u can get lots of different patterns! i live in ireland and they sell them in marks and spencers! dunno if that helps?!?? =]
