With the daily grind of life and pointless existence, arent we trapped in a jail of sort? After you go you fell no hurt from love, no physical pain, worry, anger, frustration, failure, loneliness or false hope. There'd be no witnessing the horrors of war, injustice, starvation and torture all over the world. Wouldnt it just be better to feel nothingness? To just release yourself?

Death is not the ultimate form of freedom, although it appears that way at times. But being alive can help others who need comforting when they are having a rough time. That's what real friends are for. There is a reason why we are here.

Death is nothing, you feel nothing. You would cease to exist. You would not know where you are, who you are, what you were. Do you recall life before you were born? No you don't. You never existed, and when you're dead it's as though you never existed. Death is just like that....blank, empty, nothing.

I felt nothingness when I was addicted to cocaine. Didn't give a damn about anything. I still long for that high every day.

**Nothingness? Why don't you enjoy what you have? Surround yourself with people who love you!! Release yourself? WTF is going on here?***

you people need some SERIOUS help! Life sucks sometimes but BE thankful for what you have.....my goodness......I have been down and out and depressed - but WOW......releasing yourself is not the answer. That's a selfish act......think about what that would do to the people who love you!

Sounds as if you need a friend to talk to. Of course it's the ultimate end.

Yes it is.
Death is kind of like the doorway to eternal life... which is probably the afterlife.
