I don't know what the people above me are talking about, but that is possibly one of the WORST subs you could get! The spicy Italian has Salami AND pepperoni! Those two meats are extremely high in fat. Add the processed oil based cheese and you have a disaster. Vinegar is great and so is tomatoes, but everything else- disaster.
The vineger is good if it is just vinegar. If it is oil and vinegar, that adds more fat!

I suggest you get a turkey/ham with the American, toast it and then put the tomatos and vinegar on it. That is a much healthier option, and when you add vinegar it makes everything taste the same!

A 6in spicy Italian with no cheese or sauce has 480 calories 25 grams of fat, 9 saturated fat. 55mg cholesterol and 1660 of sodium!

Yes, one of the worse subs you can get, and what type of bread do you put it on.

The only thing you are putting on there that is worth any nutrition that is healthy are the tomatos.

Salami and pepperoni are very fattening meats. Cheese is high in fat. Sodas dont' have fat, so the diet coke isn't really helping you in reducing fat, but sugar levels.

I can tell you that subway subs are measured in calories and fat based on no mayonaise, no oil, no cheese, and I believe wheat bread. According to their site, the Spicy Italian is not one of the subs with 6 grams of fat or less.

The Spicy Italian is one of the most fattening subs they have. Heres the nutritional "Fat" value in a 6":
480 calories - of which 230 calories are fat calories, 25 total fat gramsof which 9 are saturated fat grams.

You can get a double meat subway club for way less than that!

Definitely Subway. A $five footlong is sooo filling, plus for a greenback extra you'll get a drink (or cookies or chips). It's WAY extra healthful than fried meals. Wayy inexpensive too. And the mashed potatoes at KFC are on the spot. Also, have you learnt what the gravy is comprised of? All the bits of fats they scoop out of the oil from the hen + flour. :x

If it is fattening it's might just be the cheese and mayo if you use any. But I don't think it's as fattening as other food places.

Your main concern should be cheese; peperoni and tomatoes by themselves are not fat at all; the dressing could be: it's vinegar only? Then that's okay. Oil is good, also (butter, lard, not!).
While salami... depends ALOT on which kind of salami!
One kind could be very fat, another one low fat.
But cheese IS fat, that for sure.

As far as healthy go's Sub-Ways about the best in my opinion. It also seems more fresh and is very moderatly priced. I like it!

This isn't too bad. Just stay away from creamy.
