I am looking for computer software that will give me usage of commonly used symbols from advanced physics, engineering, and mathematics.

Any ideas?

Mathmatica is great because it can create and import MathML.

However, wikipedia has a nice article on mathematical notation, which might help understand some of the notation. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematical_notation)

There is a mathematica font you can download I think (try googling it?). I've used it on projects before. Otherwise you might be able to copy from mathematica or maple into a word document. Also word has an equation editor that comes with the software.
