Clemens can finish with more Ks if he wants to do so.
Johnson will keep on grinding out until he reaches 300 wins as long as any team will give him a chance. He's already under contract for 2008, but if he reaches 300, gets to 305-310 by the end of next season, I think he'll call it quits.
Rocket, and I'm quite sincere, might come back and pitch in 2008 and 2009, getting special permission in his deals to play (if he gets selected) in the Olympics and the second World Baseball Classic or whatever-its-called. The thoughts of picking up a gold medal, a WBC title, and (if he signs with the Astros) playing even just one game with Koby at third base is probably enough (along with a bucketload of money) to get him back on the diamond a few more times. If he pitches into 2009, he'll re-pass Unit.

Johnson will. Lets assume they both play for 2 more years, Johnson will extend his lead because he'll pitch in 20 more games over that period. If Clemens decides he wants to play in April or May, he might keep it close but Johnson will still end his career with more. Johnson has always had a higher k/9 innnings ratio and it will stay that way.

Johnson will hang around longer and will most likely keep second place for a while. Clemens is probably only going to play this year.

Johnson, hands down. Johnson is signed for next season, I doubt Clemens is coming back next year. Johnson also strikes out more per year. Johnson will retire comfortably in second.
