No. There is nothing to actually induct, much less burn fuel with. Gas turbine jet engines also have an upper limit of altitude they can work at. Fuel will not ignite and burn at all below a certain pressure. You can increase the effective compression ratio of the engine but with doing so you increase its temperature. Eventually, you will have to work at such a high compression that the compressed air is already so hot that adding more heat to it via burning fuel will damage the turbine blades! Of course you will never reach this situation as if so the engine would simply stall.
