Geese, grow up, the teacher is trying to expand your musical horizons.

I doubt there is a policy against playing music in the classroom, but if he is in clear violation of school policies, and you feel that he is neglecting his duty as an instructor, then I would call the school dean and have him investigated.

what do you want to prevent, playing Jazz or drinking/smoking etc?

give Jazz a chance, you might like it. you act like it's Satanic and evil.

what kind of class is it?

talk to your teacher, tell him you're uncomfortable with his lack of rules. maybe he can explain why he's doin it or even stop altogether.

quit the class or learn to deal with an environment that is lawless... your teacher probably thinks that he is encouraging creativity and free choice... i don't know what class it is but i would die to have a class like that
