Why,yes,& no. It varies a little, but usually, the ones who say it here are being facetious, because they know how simple it is to catch a violation for,"nothing."
The greater number of reporters seem to be the ones who frequently give a thumbs down. These are the same users who would have you believe how "open -minded" they are,...then soon as you say any little thing that hurts their precious little feelings, boom, they red flag you,(But, keep in mind, they would still have you believe they are "open minded).
Look over some profiles, there's a pattern to their questions and answers, that will define whether someone is or isn't "Open minded."
I've probably just convicted a few users here,so I'll expect to receive a few more red flags for my ever growing collection. I swear, I've never seen so many "Open Minded" people gathered in one place!!!
But, before I go, Here's a shiny new star, for your own collection!!!

I confess! Wait! Listen! Don’t shoot me before I finish what I have to say! I’ve reported a few obscene stuff - not silly things! But I did it only for the kids! I would never report someone just out of selfishness. Disciple is right : being offended is just an act of selfishness!
P.S.: Besides, nobody was actually really rude to me!

No. My brother said "I'm telling" all the time and he never says "reported" now. But I am sure there are several that overlap the two categories.

LOL...Great question...they most likely are. Ya know the saying, "Bad habits die hard", guess that would go perfect for them. Personally I don't see the point in bragging about reporting someone...If your going to report someone just report them and don't comment about it (and do it for a good reason, not because you don't like the person). Thanks for the laugh, didn't mean to go off there.

I don't really know . . . .
The people that get reported here get reported because they say something disgusting, vulgar, or just plain rude, and they usually are reported by many people, because it offends a lot of people.
With that in mind, I think I just convinced myself that you're right.

YES! I think it's the very same thing. If you don't like a question or an answer, move on until you find something you like better, Einstein.

Sure. Now I'm thinking my sister must be on here...I should report her just for every time she told on me...
