Lots of reasons. Here are some highlights from the link below; loss of biodiversity, disruption of predator-prey relationships, and the loss of preferred species for human consumption and the switch to less-desirable species. Without fish, the larger fish, marine mammals and seabirds would be robbed of food. Even if you don't eat fish, 1/3 of the world's fish catch feeds likestock that you probably do consume.
