They don't think terrorism exists, it's just a bumper sticker according to John Edwards. That's my conclusion. They don't have the balls to protect us from evil.

I also watched both debates and came to the conclusion that the Ds want to enforce and enhance the current Homeland Security like it is supposed to be instead of how its being done and the Rs want to fight a conventional war that is very expensive and solves nothing.

Terrorism is an idea not an army. It's sniper vs a group. Read the history of our Revolutionary War. We hid behind the rocks and trees and blended in with the villagers while the British wore red and marched in a straight line. Native Americans nearly won the west with the same tactic against our calvary, see Custer's last stand. We lost in Vietnam for the same reason. We should fight terrorism with terrorists recruited from the region to blend in and infiltrate the insurgency. We should be teaching the same thing to the Iraqi police recruits.

At home we need to teach vigilance, punish employers that hire illegal aliens, enhance our cargo inspections and celebrate diversity.

Islamic and terrorism are actually not words that must be mutually frequently words. The question could be approximately terrorism. That is equipped in many kinds. company terrorism to those that Jack Baur is combating. i could say the dems are purely not wording it real for you. i think you want the bigoted worded version of the international or terrorism. Am I maximum suitable? (do not bypass on and on that Muslims create each and all the worry, or majority. purely think of back to the days of the IRA, or Black Panthers, or Tim McViegh, or how approximately Adolf Hitler and the fashionable state of Israel? The record is notably long.) Peace Jim .

its funny how all you who support the dems say they are all good and great and everything else, but remember THEY TOO voted to go to war in Iraq, your queen Clinton and others bragged about it saying Saddam had weapons and it was a good thing we went into iraq and now because things are not going so well eveyone wants to flip-flop because these people are thinking about political gain ie how many votes they can get. why not take the fight directly to the enemy, they are busy fighting us over there, that i makes it much more difficult to attack us over here, granted i hate war i wish we didnt have to have war, but at the same time i understand the situation that we are in. remember terrorists attacked us on 9-11, they are the ones that kill any and all who stand in their way even their out country men, the reason y democrats dont want to protect us is because they have no plan, i hear all the time new direction this a new plan that yet i never hear the plan that they have. if someone knows their plan please enlighten us. democrats also want to blame homegrown terrorism on the fact that we are in Iraq, really hmmmm i remember a few terrorist acts that have taken place on our own soil even before we went to Iraq. in other words democrats only follow polls, when the situation is good like in the beginning of the war when many Dems voted for the war they think it will give them more votes, but when its bad they flip-flop, they want to disable the patriot act, they want to make us weaker and put as back in a pre 9-11 mentality. the answer to your question is they have no plan to protect us, and they want to destroy the offensive that pres bush implemented.

How is it that you came ot this conclusion? Myself, I think we have been fighting terrorism in the past through law enforcment, not military action, true it hasn't worked out in a few situations, but has worked well.

You probably believed that before the debates. The answer to the 'why' part is that the right wing talks show nitwits or FOX, either directly or indirectly, have convinced you that a majority of Americans really want to get blown into spit and air. Put you fears aside. Take a deep breath. You're a victim of propaganda. Propaganda works. That's why they do it. Get a grip, bro!

You must think terrorism is the only problem. Maybe to most republicans, but why do we have CIA or FBI if people still always live in fear. Those 19 hijackers were in america for a while...And I dont think having open borders and letting millions of illegal immigrants into our country makes us much safer....Bush had the intelligence from the CIA that bin laden was planning to attack. George bush was too focused on how he is gonna pursuade the american people Sadam was a major threat even before 9/11. George Bush obviously didnt become president to help anyone else, but oil and big business.

Only you can answer why you came to that conclusion. It could be you have some sort of mental defect. It could also be that you're a freaking genius. Then again, you could just be an automaton that spews random opinions.

Nonsense. They don't see the terrorists as an outside threat independent from us. They see it as a form of violence we bring on ourselves with our foreign policy. They feel we can best protect ourselves by negotiating, by better foreign policy, by improving the image of the United States as a whole.

I'm a democrat, but my family escaped Islam in the 1950s.
They're wrong.
You cannot negotiate with Islam. They have always wanted to take over the world, and President Bush revealed their goals before they were ready for the West. The result is that they have to succeed NOW, or they will never have another chance. Free speech is causing a revolution in their own culture, and people are starting to demand freedom of themselves.

Once Islam is in full conflict with itself, there is a chance it will emerge as a freedom embracing religion.

I'll cheer on that day. I fear the day the socialists in my party gain control of the Judicial, Legislative, and Executive positions simultaneously.

Democrats? Great! I'll be voting democrat (not socialist, not liberal).

But until the socialists in my party are put back into their own party, the Republicans are going to have to push for the safety of this country.

My thanks to them.

(No, I will not leave my party to become a Republican. That's what the socialists want.)

Umm, protect us from terrorism? What terrorism? Also, how can someone provide us security from this terrorism without trampling our freedom?

Freedom is the best security that can be provided.
