Sometimes the body will not expell the baby. Mine never did after a month and she asked me did I want to continue to wait and the thought of carrying a dead baby inside me was too painful so I opted for the D&C. They should have given you options.

It all depends, and you may not miscarry at all. (at least not before a D&C) I had a similar situation. I "miscarried" at 8 weeks. I knew it, too, because all my symptoms went away one morning. I couldn't get an appt. for another 2 weeks, though, and then it was confirmed through lack of fetal haertbeat & ultrasound. They scehduled me for a D&C, and I had that. They said eventually, my uterus would have expelled the fetus, but there was no way of knowing when, it could take several weeks and that in the meantime, it was leaving me succeptable to infection. (I was totally against the D&C). Get yourself scheduled for one, though, and be on the lookout for bleeding or spotting, cramping or abdominal pain. If these occur, go to the ER.

Your body may not realize that anything is wrong, and therefore may not miscarry. I heard once from a doctor of a woman who's baby died in the third trimester and she didn't miscarry it, she had it like a normal baby because it would have been too harmful for them to take it out that far along.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss. Are they monitoring your beta levels, or seeing you in a few weeks, etc?

It depends on your body and your hormones. And you may need medical aid (drugs or a D&C) to help.

Again, I am so sorry.

I am so sorry.

This is difficult to answer since different people are different, but you should check back in with your OB about your options.

That depends on your body, you may not miscarry, you may have to have a D & C.

You might not have a natural miscarriage. They may have to do a D & C. You should check with your doctor.

Oh I'm so sorry....

You should probably book another appointment with your OBGYN as soon as possible.
