It's usually on your VCR's remote control. Also when I set up the recording using the timer menu, it gives the option to select the tape speed on that. You might want to consult your instruction manual. I always tuck the instruction manual under the VCR/DVD player so I can refer to it and it wont get lost.

Your VHS recorder has a speed button which controls the taping speed.Check your owners manual to locate this button on your particular brand .Once you do this, it is a simple matter of pressing it until you get your desired speed setting. On playback, the set automatically i.d.'s the speed and adjusts the playback speed so you need do nothing.

You only need to change these modes when recording..There is always a choice to pick from which should pop up on your screen, when recording, then just pick which one you want to use by pushing that choice on your remote control....

There is usually a switch among the controls. ~
This is needed for record only, as on playback the right speed is picked automatically.
