But they won't do anything to change what is happening in our society. What I mean is that we don't challenge our politicians when they make horrible policies and laws that affect us in a negative way. We can make change. what are you as a citizen going to do?

My post cards will read,"Patriotic Ted Kennedy Has Done Nothing RIGHT in Years!"
"ENFORCE OUR PRESENT IMMIGRATION LAWS not some cockamamy $5000 fine JOKE New Law"

Now, now. Such protests against policies take place all the time. There are huge rallies in Washington over the abortion issue every year. Many protests have taken place over our Iraq involvement. And this doesn't include the millions of letters sent to representatives every year on a wide range of issues.

Yes, it would be a better world if people spent more time worrying about big issues than the cancellation of a television show. But, I figure that's their right. Their silence means that our voices are more likely to be heard, even if it's a little more heavy lifting along the way.

We don't like challenging them because we elected them into power.
