and in all the adverts for it they put a muslim woman in the middle of the union flag. so is the real reason to force more multiculturism on us, or tell us more about how wonderful muslims are realls. why wont they give us st georges day as a national holiday for england. the scots have st andrews day, the welsh st davids, and the irish st patricks, and so they should, but when it comes to england, its got to be british, same as the national anthems, flower of scotland, land of my fathers, etc, but england has god save the queen, she is queen of britain, not just england. we are being suffocated and diluted, what should we do about it as englishmen and women?

Because they are beginning to realise that 40 years of multi-culturalism is divisive and destructive to any society which, by definition, must be mono-cultural in order to survive. They think that they can put all that right with a celebration of Britishness but haven't realised that the real fun will start when they try to define what that actually is.

Patriotism is the refuge of fools. Elections are coming up so the politicians will wrap anyone they can find in a flag and take photos and say how good it is to be such and such or whatever it is you wanna be. Why don't you take St Georges day off anyway? Make your own holiday. Frankly most civilised people can spot a Con from a thousand paces. I frankly don't give a toss.

com on we all know the truth, this little island a former giant
amongst world powers is now going down the same road
that all world powers and empires went . history just repeats itself. The nations that once were part of our colonial empire
in most cases taken by force. Have now turned it around and
since world war 2 gradually with with British help subdued
this islands infrastructure. the nation as a whole has lost its identity. even Santa's got to go.
and with Blair's help we are now flooded with thousands more
different nationalities squeezing on to this little island
I'm no racist but look at history and some day soon this will
reach boiling point as the country splits into Yugoslavian
states or curial and religious areas . This is in full swing at the
moment in time
thing is Blair's got enough dollar to leave when its gets to
dangerous for his family
mines got to stay and face it all

Are you a member of the BNP?

Just wondering about those ads...they sound a bit dodgy....

british day is a good idea for a family fun day for people and people will remember it growing up...its good for individuals..family...schools and the wider community and is treated like a fun fete day with things to do being supplied by local business . I went to OZ two years ago and for Austrailia Day we all went to a firworks display and there had been a fet there that day....It was great fun and there was no animosity whatsover....

The racists spoil everything and the truth is nobody is stopping anyone in tis country from celerating St Gaerges Day ...there are alot of english people who wont celebrate it becasue it is dumb or an excuse to get wasted...

To be quite honest probably 80% of people in America on a regular basis. Im 26 and I never smoked pot in high school because it was bad pot. You guys have no idea whats out there! But I associate with all kinds of people from business executives, to cops, to school teachers, to Law students and I can only think of 2 people I have never smoked with. My husband works for a very large company. Big skyscraper business, he came into the training program with 13 people. After a few happy hours and friends made we had smoked with 11 of them! 1 girl had as much as 4 pounds!! Im not saying do drugs, its just not as bad as its made up to be. You should watch Penn & Teller ********! the war on drugs episode, Im sure its on hulu or something. But I dont really know anyone who "celebrates" 4-20

When I was a school lad we celebrated Empire day, all the kids took their Union Jacks to school and march around the playground, some houses and shops put out flags as well.

'MARK 43' just took my answer but thank you. 'Robespierre 2' the quote is, 'Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel' but anything dreamt up by politicians (some of whom are scoundrels) is usually ill thought out or foolish.
With Brown's record it may be another stealth tax !.
