Just taking a wild stab in the dark here, trying to dredge up what I can recall from my psychology classes.

Your subconscious mind communicates through symbols. The fox as a symbol often reprsents cleverness and animal cunning, with darker tendencies.

What your subconscious is probably trying to tell your rational mind is that someone or multiple someones around you bear you ill will, or even seem to be ready to attack you with clever and subtle means.

Do you have a new group of friends or coworkers? Perhaps a new significant other with a group of friends? Maybe so, maybe not. Be cautious, and carefully analyze the actions and motives of those around you. Take no other action until you get some validation for your suspiscions. Even if you're not having weird dreams, it's still a good idea to keep your guard up.

An average fox is the size of a cat. Do you have a cat? Could've been nibbling on your ear while you slept. Dreams are a reflection of your subconscience, so, they DO have some meaning. Try checking your horoscope for that day. You may be surprised by any similarities!

It depends on what foxes mean to you. Me, I see foxes as sneaky creatures that go out of their way to remain hidden. If I dreamed of foxes attacking me, then it would mean that my sneakiness, my guilty conscious was attacking me.

However you feel that foxes relate to your personal life, that is attacking you. Something is wrong there. I think you know what it is.

Fox

To see a fox lurking about in your dream, represents cleverness and resourcefulness. You need to use your insight and intellect to solve some problem. Perhaps you need to conceal your thoughts and/or remain silent. Alternatively, it indicates a period of isolation or loneliness. It is a good way for you to use this time to reflect.

You are not seeing something clearly and need to open your eyes. Something/someone that seems charming is not all as it seems, so be careful. Fox is adept at the art of camouflage. Or afterwards you may find yourself saying, "I didn't even see it coming."
