My girls and I make dinner together all the time. lol yes, we actually sit at the table and talk. I think that was some of the best advice I ever got from my pediatrician years ago. Never neglect family dinner time. You talk..... and that needs to be a habit that forms with your kids..... getting them used to making dinner conversation and opening up and sharing and listening. I guess we started doing it from the time they were little...... and I still do it today just out of habit. Oh sure we have our busy nights were all of us are grabbing something to eat on the run....... but the norm is to cook and sit and eat and then clean up together. I've seriously got the best kids I could ever ask for. It makes this a time I seriously look forward to at night. :)

Yesterday. It's good to have at least one night a week for family. I've learned the hard way, kids grow up way to fast. I wish I would have made the time to do this years ago.
