When I was a teenager 25 years ago, I taught private swim lessons for $20 per lesson (about 40 minutes). Quick, easy money, and flexible hours. And I didn't have a pool - I used whatever pool was available to my customers. First, I got certified (American Red Cross, WSI - water safety instruction). Then, I got a job with the city teaching group lessons, which paid about $7/hour. Then I got referrals from that job, and word-of-mouth referrals after that.
I don't know how much you can make teaching swimming now, but I'm sure it's still relatively good money. Plus, it's fun and constructive. Whatever you decide to do, put in a good effort and make the most of it. Good luck.

Babysitting is a great way to make money. Also if you are an animal lover you can put up flyers in your neighborhood advertising that you will walk, groom, or dogsit.... It summer now have a carwash or sell lemonade. If you are able to drive you could run errands for elderly people in your neighborhood. Offer to plan a birthday or kids party.
Hope this helps

Seeing that you're 16,and it's sumertime,I would suggest the wonderful world of fast food. They're always looking for teens trying to make a few extra bucks. I would suggest you volunteer for the crappy hours first like nights and weekends. THIS is what most employers are looking for.
