They're right, it's Rosa. It'd be easy to get this question wrong if you didn't look at the most likely people closely. Martin Luther King, Jr., organized the boycott, but the idea for it started when Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on the bus.

The proximate cause of the boycott was the arrest of Rosa Parks for refusing to give up her seat to a white man.However, the real powder keg was the Jim Crow laws that existed then and breed a deepseated resentment and anger within the black populace.Ms Rosa Parks was just the lit fuse.

Actually, Rosa Parks was not the first person to refuse to move to the back of the bus. She was the first one that would look good in the movement.
