Did you ever stop to consider the fact that there is no purpose? It is entirely possible that the beginnings of life were random and just happened with no particular reason. Life does seem to be logical in that it either adapts to its surroundings, modifies its surroundings, or dies off. I believe there is no rhyme or reason to it. It was a chance out of billions of chances and here we are. We can be gone just as quickly if not sooner.

I don't believe there is a set purpose, Life is what you make out of it. We didn't ask to be born, we don't ask to die. We live by man's rules, codes, ethics and somewhere in between we try to co-exist with each other. I believe the only living creatures born with a real purpose, are the ones that are bred..cows, pigs, chickens, etc, purpose of life for them of course is to feed us............

although we have evolved as a race since we began walking upright, write poetry, advance technology, explore music photography, create, destroy, preserve, love, live, die, share happiness, sadness, lets back up to the lower brain era of early humans.....not to sound cold, but i believe there isn't a purpose, but a drive..as in all plants and animals........to reproduce...........ourselves ..the human race. Reproduction seems to be the inner drive of life itself, whether it is a dandalion, a deadly virus, or what have you. In the big picture, the purpose if there is one is...continuence.

To categories, quantify, and other wise define and understand our environment. While we do this as a species we might as well use this knowledge to make life more comfortable because this quest could take awhile.
