What is a good way to remember the phases of the moon?

Any tricks to remember it?

Reach a hand to the crescent moon
Grab hold of the hollow
If she sits in the palm of the left
That moon will be fuller tomorrow
If she sits in the palm of the right
That moon is on the wane


NOTE: If you live in the southern hemisphere, this is reversed!

A lot of learning doesn't involve tricks, it involves work. But this one isn't hard, just sit down and memorize them. At the very least come up with a mnemonic device.

draw the sun in the middle and draw circles around. then go around and cut each moon into dark and light. then from the sun make a line that points toward the sun. then if you have a little light, thats a cresent and so on.
