g - I didn't say liberal, I said Liberal. If you don't know the difference, I suggest you take an entry level poli-sci class. One is more government - Liberal, and one is less government - liberal. Bush is Liberal.

Because he ran on the republican ticket, and because he professes a belief in Christ.

IItrix...if you do not see that Bush is left of center, you are naive. Look at how much he has grown the govt...increased spending...his idiotic stance on immigration.

He is not the most liberal since LBJ, but he is DEFINATELY left of center.

This is a dumb question, Bush is not more liberal then LBJ.
The left hate him no more then they hate a cockroach.
.
Bush believes in a unitary presidency.
This means he doesn't want the Congress checking his power to do what ever he wants.
It means the rest of you, and that includes everyone, can go to hell.
Bush and his buddies have hi-jacked the Republican party and our government, pretending to be bible reading conservative Republicans.
They are no such thing.
They are crooks and liars, and are incapable of running our country.
.
If only more people had paid attention to Molly Ivins way back when "shrub" was Texas governor, we could have avoided all this trouble.
His Texas became more dangerous, the people poorer and less educated under his "leadership". Bush gave the foxes the job of guarding the chicken house in Texas and now Texas has no chickens.
,
Let the right call the left all the names they want.
The Republicans are bankrupt and they know it.
George Bush will go down in history as the most corrupt and incompetent president we have ever had.

the pelosi reid regime used the iraq war as a mask to the power grab from the razor thin mandate of 06. while maintaining (no im not making this up) a brain damaged congressman in hospital to enhance their majority you saw 757gate, the non taxpaying territorial vote grant, jeffersongate, and so on. the idea here is according to her own words, that the pelosi reid regime were going to spend their first thousand hours reinstalling democratic power, read that failed tax and spend. little has been said about iraq other than grandstanding since. nine hundred million in pork barrel was installed with the iraqi defense bill and over 36000 requests for pork were installed with no chance for debate (see yahoo story) that were (shock, suprise) reluctantly passed by ways and means. in short, all smoke and mirrors and bush unfortunately makes the perfect scapegoat.

I always thought you were a conservative if you 1) were agianst abortion 2) invested in the huge oil business 3) Willing to sacrifice personall freedoms for the safety of the country as a whole 4) were a very strict Christian and for a countless amount of other resons. Republicans are just trying to heft Bush on the liberals because they realize how much of a mess he is. Just because he supports one bill that isnt supported by most conservatives doesnt make him a liberal so stop calling him that, its ridicoulous. perhaps e is just trying to be bipartisan?

If Bush is a Liberal than Pelosie is a conservative

He's a fiscal liberal-- but he's an even more a social conservative. That's why the Left doesn't like him. And his foreign policy is neo-conservative, not traditional conservative.

I don't think LBJ is exactly a revered president either-- there was that lovely Vietnam fiasco. Nixon won and was viewed as the peacemaker to get us out of Vietnam.

He's only liberal in the sense his spending is out of control and he has grown the government. None of his policies are liberal, unless you call an invasion and occupation of another country, liberal. He is despised for what he is doing to this country, his party and Iraq, not to mention the debt he is incurring for future generations.

Because if Bush said the world was round and the sky blue they would call it a lie. The man can't do anything right in their eyes like Bill Clinton couldn't do anything wrong

People left right and center do not like Bush for various reasons including the war in Iraq and the budget deficit. In case you haven't noticed, Bush's popularity ratings have been in the 30% range for nearly a year.

A liberal President would not have attempted to add discrimination to our Constitution because he has a problem with gay people. A liberal President would not be advocating abstinence-only school programs - that are failing miserably by the way. And a liberal President wouldn't have been convinced that God wanted him to attack Iraq. Liberal my behind, a liberal President would never have said ANY of the following:

"I feel like God wants me to run for President. I can't explain it, but I sense my country is going to need me. Something is going to happen... I know it won't be easy on me or my family, but God wants me to do it."
--George W. Bush commenting to Texas evangelist James Robinson in the run-up to his presidential campaign

"God told me to strike at al Qaeda and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam [Hussein], which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them."
--Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Abu Mazen quoting Bush when they met in Aqaba; reported in The Haaretz Reporter by Arnon Regular

"I don't think that witchcraft is a religion. I wish the military would rethink this decision." - to ABC NEWS, June 1999, regarding Ft. Hood's decision to allow Wiccan rituals

I think people attack me because they are fearful that I will then say that you're not equally as patriotic if you're not a religious person. ... I've never said that. I've never acted like that. I think that's just the way it is. (Washington Times, 12 January 2005)

I trust God speaks through me. Without that, I couldn't do my job.
reportedly said to a group of Old Order Amish as published by the Lancaster New Era, July 16, 2004. [89]

Hummm... I know for a fact he is not liberal. Maybe a little Loony in the head because he believes God speaks to him. I don't trust people who believe they are speaking with an imaginary being and have no proof of the conversation. call me a skeptic.

He's not even close to liberal. By the way, many liberals don't like the idea of allowing illegal immigrants carte blanche to continue coming into this country.

I don't like him simply because his policies have been wasteful and wrong 99% of the time.
