First, don't misspell words, such as tones. It should be tons! Next, dress professionally. Walk straight with confidence. Not, with an attitude. Look the interviewer directly in the eyes and give a firm (not death grip) handshake. When sitting, sit still, it shows confidence. Study the company on the web and be ready to throw out some facts about the company which will show them you have taken the time to do your homework.
Do not over talk. Answer questions directly and to the point. Thank the interviewer for their time and look them in their eyes (which you should have been doing all along) and give a departing handshake and thank them for their time. Ask when they will be making a hiring decision and could you call back to follow-up.
Success to you!

Ah, it's been too long since I've seen one of these! Q1: Who is your best friend? Iris without a doubt. She was also my first friend, and made the ultimate sacrifice to save me. I can never forgive myself for that Q2: If you were murdered, you would likely be your killer? Richard or Avira. Probably Avira, since she's has made it her goal to kill me. Q3: Are you the main character of your story? I am, along with a couple others. Q4: What modern song TODAY most describes you? *Author's note - I really don't listen to modern songs enough to answer this question. Q5: If someone held a gun up to your head and asked for your money would you: If I was alone I would give them the money. If my friends were nearby I would call for help call for help since you cannot handle this situation. I don't think I could fight alone, and I'd be killed. Q6: If you could re-name yourself, what would it be? I couldn't think of another name. QUESTIONS FOR THE AUTHOR: Q1: How many words is your story so far? Somewhere around 30,000. I have been on a long, long break which is why I'm so behind. Q2: How do you get over writer's block? Take a break from writing. Think over my plot and story. Q3: When you are stuck with starting the next chapter, what do you do? Write other parts of the book Q4: What genre is your story (and if you are comfortable with sharing, what is your story's name)? I haven't figured out a title yet, but the genre is Science Fantasy. There is also action and adventure included.

Be honest, courteous and don't be afraid to ask questions. Given your age you should have lots of questions. If you know allot about PC's that's all good and well but remember two things; 1 the customer is number one, 2 there's always someone that knows more than you do. Usually your boss is the closest one. Don't try to astonish ppl with how bright you are, let them discover it. If and when you get hired remember to listen well and perform well. Do those two things and you are off to a good start.

Don't mention that you're building a PC unless the subject comes up. Save that as a "bonus" to your employment package.

Good luck,

What do you know about the company? It is very important to show you have 'checked' the company out as they will want to know why you want to work there as opposed to somewhere else. Dress in your best professional attire- appearance ALWAYS matters and demonstrates you respect them and prepared for the interview. Always answer the questions asked. I interview people all of the time, and many times people say alot of stuff, but fail to actually answer the question that was asked. Other than that, be yourself and understand that you will likely be nervous. Good luck!

Have your SS Card and ID ready if they need copies.

From a corporate perspective, Staples is leaning heavily into their technology product business. So, a knowledgable sales person is important to them. Your experience and knowledge speaks for itself, so be sure to share it with the interviewer. Today's young generation like yourself is very in tune with the latest and greatest in technology, and you clearly have spent a lot of time understanding the ins and outs of technology, so share that too. The most difficult part about this job is not your tech knowledge (make sure they know you have that part nailed down to a science), the hard part is dealing with the wide array of simple and difficult customers you will get. Ski instruction takes extreme patience, customization to different learning styles, and building confidence in timid skiers. Be sure you leverage that experience to solidify your ability to work with customers. Tell them you are a hard worker and want to evangelize the benefits of technolgoy through the knowledge and experience you have.
Most of all... be yourself!!!

they are probably looking for a good attitude more than anything. Definitely mention that you have customer service experience. Try thinking of situations where you had to deal with a difficult customer and how you handled it. Just think about things like that today to get your mind in the right place. Most of all make sure you have a good attitude toward working and show that you are willing to work hard.

Make good eye contact. Answer questions with a sentence instead of a word. Even though this is an interview, try to learn something about the interviewer.

Dress well. This means tie. Probably don't need a suit for staples. Speak well. Be prepared to answer questions like "what are your greatest strengths/weaknesses?" and so forth. Be personable, don't fidgit, make eye contact, but don't stare.

All employers know that enthusiasm makes up for lack of experience. Tell them how much you want the job and that you are good at this type of work. After you get hired, dont let them down--actions speak louder than words.
