yes..that has put me in shock..mainly because I listen to his music so much.. and I miss Dino from H-town as well...but Tony's . family released a statement
On June 1, 2007, the parents of Tony Thompson, The Thompson Family, Tevin Thompson (son), Angela Garcia (fiancée), aunts, uncles, friends, and fans lost a loving, caring, compassionate, and gifted soul. Tony Ulysses Thompson left his body here on earth, as his soul went on to be with our Father!
At this time, regardless as to what has been previously released in the media, the results of the autopsy HAVE NOT been released and the cause of Tony’s death has not been determined. We the family would appreciate that everyone respect our privacy in our time of grieving.
Tony was one in a million; knowing how to fit in with just about every personality there is in this world. He knew how to laugh with the gigglers, and cry with the hurt! He touched many hearts when his voice was heard on the radio, on stage, hanging out at a family gathering, or just sitting at home “CHILLIN’ ON IT!!! He was a great son, father, companion, and a favorite in our family! Though he will be missed immensely, his legacy will live on forever and he will hold a special place in our hearts.
Tony was given the gift of song and he loved what he did for a living. He LOVED his fans and was in the process of starting a new solo project to present to the world. Tony would be the first one to say that without his fans, he would not have experienced “LIFE” as he knew it! So, thank you fans for the support that you showed Tony.
On behalf of Tony’s parents, The Thompson Family, Tevin, Angela, and all of Tony’s relatives, we wish to thank everyone for your prayers, love, and support. Your emails, comments, and bulletins are very much appreciated. We know you loved him as much as we did. Tony will be missed, but never forgotten.
Concluding, in the words of his son Tevin, “The Heavenly choir now has a new lead singer!”
We love you Tony. You were God sent!
Sincerely,
Tony & Doris Thompson
The Thompson Family
Tevin Thompson
Angela Garcia (Thompson)

Well, you have to become an American citizen before you can petition your parents to come to the US, so that's a way off for now. Once you get your green card and you've been a legal resident in the US for 3 years, you can apply for citizenship, but of course, you'll have to pass the citizenship test first, and like with everything else, it takes a while for immigration to do your paperwork for that, too, so just because you're eligible, it doesn't mean you'll become a citizen right away. Then after you do become a citizen, you'll have to file immigrant visa petitions for both of your parents, and those take quite a while to process as well. So, even after you file the papers, it will be up to a year before they would get their visas. As an American, you can file for brothers and sisters as well, but since your family is from the Philippines, those petitions take an extremely long time, over 20 years, because so many Filipinos want to come to the US, so the line is very long.

I am still shock about his sudden death. It goes to show you that everybody's not promised tomorrow. You could be here one day, the next day...you could be gone. Why? We will never understand. Tony was still so young. He had so much life left....why did he have to die so soon? We will never understand. The same for Gerald Levert and Dino (of H-Town).
We just have to tell ourselves that they are with God now and they are safe.

He's the former drummer of CHIC and Power Station...I like his playing with the Power Station, with the massive drum sound without sounding like a heavy metal drummer. He can groove...what a loss of great talent and musicianship.
