and what is it that makes that particular book your favorite? Mine happens to be Phantoms. It takes real creativity and literary genius to write a book so engrossing and so creepy that I literally can't sleep unless I've finished the whole thing.

Watchers, Strangers, Phantoms, The Servants of Twilight, Lightening, Sole Survivor and Life Expectancy are at the top of my favorite Dean Koontz book list because of their strong characterization, most memorable characters.

Oh gosh, just one??

I'd have to say, maybe--oh crud, it's a toss up between "Strangers" and "The Taking."

I've also really loved "One Door Away From Heaven" and the Moonlight Bay series (Fear Nothing and Seize the Night, with a third I hear in the works.)

Great author, one of my absolute favorites!

Intensisty. i think it was so clever to write a whole book in which the entire story takes place over just 24 hours. Brilliant.

I love all his book, own all his books, and have a hard time choosing a fav. When I am absolutly forced to choose I have to say The Taking. Just because of the unexpected twist at the end. :)

I liked Odd Thomas....but I also liked the Watchers, probably because I like Frankenstein so much, I like to see a monster that you can feel such sympathy for. I also liked Lightning because who would have though time traveling nazis, way cool.
