Okay so I looked up your answers and it is the Almay Smart Shade that I was talking about. But $20 at the least? omg. thats really expensive for makeup. Does anyone know a brand that is cheaper and has this kind of stuff and works just as well?

You should invest in a good quality make-up brush (I suggest The Body Shop or MAC even though they're around £15 as the bristles are soft enough on your face but solid enough not to fall out and ruin your look like cheaper brushes) for a flawless effect especially if you have a lot of redness. If you're doing it with your fingers, concentrate on the red areas first and tap the foundation to cover the redness. It doesn't matter if it doesn't blend in at this point because it soon will. Once the redness is covered or almost covered, leave it to air dry for 1-2 minutes before smoothing on foundation over the top of the old foundation and all over the rest of your face for a smooth result. Circular motions can maximise pores if you have large noticeable ones so I'd suggest sweeping upwards working from the centre of your face and working out towards the cheekbones. Blend in at the end and add more foundation only to the areas that need it by again tapping and blending until it blends in seamlessly.

Almay smart shade makeup

Makeup that transforms into your ideal shade

With smart shade makeup, there’s no more guessing or stressing over what shade of makeup is right for you. This revolutionary colorless foundation contains microscopic color beads that are activated when you smooth it on—transforming into a shade that complements your skin tone. You’ll get sheer coverage with a natural finish, so your skin looks smooth and even. Nourishing antioxidants like grapeseed, ginseng and gingko biloba help give skin a healthy glow. Each of the 3 shades cover a wide range of color. All you have to do is choose the one closest to your skin tone—it’s that easy!

Choose one and let smart shade makeup do the rest!
1. Choose Light, Light/Medium or Medium
2. Smooth on to activate the color beads
3. Get your ideal shade for beautiful, natural-looking skin.
hypoallergenic • oil free • won't clog pores • clinically, dermatologist and allergy tested
It's about 12 to 14 dollars at walgreens. It works pretty well. IF you are considering getting a darker or lighter shade, go with the lighter. This tends to be darker than you think.

You spend a little bit more on a months supply of Perfect Pigment by Christina Sullivan but she puts two months supply in one compact so you have to pay that up front - it lasts longer anyway and it's just powder that does it all - so take all the money you spend on blush, shadow, base, highlighters and then compare costs - this compact is great for the trendy natural look
