What am I to do?

Question

I am very disappointed and feel bad, I asked to be the Director of my Parish, the seceracty who is doing it now, says she does not want that part of the job. I said I would love it.

Well, she was suppose to speak to the head prisit and when I went to church my husband mention it to him, and he said he knew nothing about it.

I called the secretary and she never returned my call, I even emailed her.

I was so sure I would get this since I have 25 years experience in teaching religion, that I told my family and friends.

Well, now there is no answer and I guess I am not getting it, I feel bad, and most of all I feel bad about is that nobody could give me a yes or no.

I feel like giving up on praying, going to church, because nothing works out, can someone give me advise on how to handle this?

I only want honest answers, not in the mood for anyone being funny on this.

If you were asked to be the Director should you have any letter of this? Please talk to your Parish Priest again and ask his help. Tell him that you would love to have this opportunity to serve God and your community. This could be a little misunderstanding. Be ready though if it's not meant for you. Don't be discouraged and keep in mind that you might be assigned a more rewarding task. Jesus did not give up so don't give up. Cheers sister and continue the good work.

Think rational! It seems like your feelings are hindering the facts. If you haven't been told "yes or no" then why do you feel defeated? I would try to get to the source of your problem. Ask bluntly, "Am I going to get this job or not? If no, then I want an explanation." Nobody likes the runaround.

you are going to give up prayer for that? kind of weak dont you think. maybe it is not in the cards for you wow people who suffer more than that dont give up on prayer and church!
