I think at this time, McNaab is the better quarterback. I say this only because I do not think that Culpepper will ever get that knee back to 100%. If you are talking up til now, then Culpepper has put up better numbers. Here's how they stack up statisticaly.

I'm not a huge fan of either, but McNabb is better when both are healthy. If you gave them both the same team, I think I'd rather have McNabb. Both of them have injury problems but McNabb has proven he can play without the help of a no. 1 wide receiver while Culpepper has only been successful when playing with Randy Moss. Plus, Culpepper statistically fumbles more than anyone in the game because of his small hands. That isn't my opinion, PTI gave a stat about it. McNabb over Culpepper.

Both QB's came in the league in 1999 and right about now when both are entering their 9th season, should be at their highest point of their careers as far as their playing ability and skill level. Both Qb's are good, but Donovan McNabb edges out Daunte Culpepper for several reasons:

1. Donovan McNabb and Daunte Culpepper have had their share of injuries in the past couple of seasons, but it has been McNabb who has performed well above Culpepper. Coming off a sports Hernia injury, many people thought McNabb might be done and that his athletic ability would be hurt badly. Before the ACL injury, McNabb was playing outstanding football and looked to be an all pro QB again. Also mcNabb was smart about his injury, and didnt try to rush back from it like Culpepper did with his knee in 2006.

2. Although the wins and championships are a team effort, its also mandatory that the QB has consistency and is able to get the job done wekk in and week out and thats what McNabb has done. 4 straight NFC title games including the win in 2004 over Atlanta and 5 pro bowls is a great contribution from the QB. Culpepper has only led his teams to one NFC title game back in 2000, and since then has been inconsistent; sometimes having great years, and sometimes having bad years.

I know there are people who are going to complain about Culpepper having slightly better career stats then McNabb or the that his knee injury has kept him from playing well. Well lets put it this way, back between 2001-2004, in his "glory" years, was he ever mentioned at one of the best in the game along with Favre, Manning, Brady, McNabb and Green? Not very often, and Culpepper has been to inconsistent be called great or one of the best in the game. Consistency, leadership, and persaverence are what makes a QB great, and McNabb has all of those While Culpepper doesnt.

No contest. Donovan McNabb. Culpepper is done and has been while he was still in Minnesota. McNabb when healthy is one of the top ten quarterbacks in the league. Even in his prime, Culpepper was never better than McNabb.

Mcnabb

definately mcnabb. he has better mobility, makes smarter decisions, and his arm is almost as strong as daunte culpeppers (daunte may have one of the best arms in the league) both are coming off injuries, but, culpeppers is more serious. both of the teams selected quarterbacks in the second round, so it looks like both may be playing (in culpeppers case, rehabbing) for new teams the in the next few years. mcnabb is a veteran leader and is great every season, while culpepper didn't look the same without a go to guy like randy moss.

McNabb is a better qb right now. Culpepper was a better qb in his prime but he had Randy Moss to throw to. McNabb has put up good numbers despite not having any good receivers to throw to.

McNABB. He seems to get injured a lot, toward the end of the season but, Culpepper is just plain done for.

Culpepper was,but injuries have finally pretty much ended his career.McNabb isn't far behind.A trade to get either would be a mistake. If your talking about in their prime ,Culpepper by far.Culpepper carried his team to the Super Bowl,McNabb went to the Super Bowl but Terrell Owens carried them.

This is a silly question. Donovan McNabb is 20x better than Daunte Culpepper. Culpepper is a bum.

Of these two - the only two of five QB's taken in the first round of the 1999 draft that are still playing - McNabb is better based on the fact that he got his team to a Super Bowl.
