Get yourself some hot pepper wax. It's an organic way to deal with pests. It easily washes off under room temp water, but remains on the plants during rain and waterings.

Basil is resilient. It will grow back, just keep nurturing it!

You can purchase the hot pepper wax at:

One container lasts several years.

At my house it is rabbits and I had to put up a little hardtac fencing to keep them out. The ones that the rabbit didn't eat all the leaves off of are starting to come back. But the ones where only the stalk is left have not.

If you think it's an animal, watch for it or put a milk crate over it. It should grow back.

could you transfer it into a pot and keep it up off the ground?? that might take care of any little insects, caterpillars, or critters eating it.

Basil is so delicious in salads, and pasta sauce...enjoy!
