We are pretty expensive here now. But you can still find a dinner for less an $10, a beer for a buck and lots of free activities to take part in. I shop where the locals shop and still find the deals. The touristy parts of town I don't shop in....especially if a cruise ship is in port. All the prices double!

p.s. Pedro's answer is good below.

Very expensive and getting more so all the time. North of Calbo San Lucas about 50 miles if I remember correctly is a much smaller town called Todos Santos.

10-15 years ago it was a perfect seaside village. You could rent a 2 bedroom villa with room service for about 200 a month. Many Norte Americanos have built there since and although it is becoming more touristy, it is still a better deal but you wont have ALL the accommodations of Calbo San Lucas.

My sister was down there about 3 months ago. She liked it but did say it was starting to go tourist. It doesn't take long for a quaint village to go tourist if it is near other big places. I wish you a good trip.

Yo tambien soy chiva.
